Field Maintenance

Well, the rain that fell over the Summer of 2012 has really played havoc with our training field.

'Supervisor Swiss' - aka John Overton, has taken charge of the drainage problems and together with his labourers ably assisted by the ladies keeping them supplied with hot drinks and food, is well on the way to aleviating the problem.

That is despite the continuing bad weather, supply problems and 'work' getting in the way.

The drainage job has led the club members to decide to designate the last training day in every month as 'field / clubhouse maintenance' day, which if there is any time left will be followed by training.

That should get us strimming and dusting quickly, but also means we should not lose as much time in one chunk again.
